Biography
Christiane Casas grew up in the suburbs of Toulouse (France), in a modest family where art was not a central concern.
As a sensitive child, she was always fascinated by the desire to experiment with nature.

Making herbariums (the beginning of Cyanotypes), observing and documenting the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly and then into a magnificent chrysalis (the beginnings of her love of paper) or following the evolution of a tadpole into a frog, these movements of nature were an inexhaustible source of curiosity and wonder. In those days, his little microscope and his first “manipulators' notebooks” were his faithful companions.
In her teens, she had her first encounter with painting. She saw her mother drawing, playing with colors and daring to take pleasure in it.

It was only natural that she should choose a career in research.
Her curiosity to discover the world in a different way and her desire to experiment have always been omnipresent driving forces on her path.
Daring to change her world to become a clinical biology researcher. Daring to adopt new codes. Like a family reparation.

At this point in her life, it was learning pottery and contact with the earth that enabled her to keep in touch with her sensitivity and emotions. Paper modelling will open up new horizons.

Later, by following a course in sophrology, she reconnected with a holistic vision of the human being and a global vision of Nature, which is so dear to her.

When she left her job as a researcher, it wasn't to become a sophrologist, but to dare to do what drives her most: create.
